About The Position

Salesforce is seeking a Data Strategy GTM Specialist within the Professional Services Data Excellence & AI Practice team. This role focuses on positioning Data Strategy solutions and services to help customers achieve value from the Salesforce Platform and become agentic organizations. The specialist will act as a strategic advisor and product expert for enterprise customers, understanding their business objectives and communicating the value of Salesforce Services effectively. The role requires strategic, analytical thinkers with strong business acumen to contribute to a rapidly growing area of the business.

Requirements

  • 10+ years experience, encompassing working with Data platforms to solve real business problems, with a specific focus on defining Data Strategies and Migration roadmaps for enterprise clients.
  • Relevant Salesforce Data 360 platform experience or equivalent Customer Data Platform solutions, with an understanding of how these platforms serve as the strategic part of the customer larger data landscape.
  • Functional knowledge of commonly used enterprise cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, Azure, etc.) and the ability to architect integration / migration paths from these environments into the Salesforce ecosystem.
  • Expertise in data management, data transformation, and ETL/ELT tools (MuleSoft, Informatica), with a deep understanding of how to apply integration patterns to support complex data migration and strategy work.
  • Strong background and understanding of Core Salesforce products, with a clear PoV on how data foundations and integration architecture are the prerequisites for successful AI and Data 360 adoption.
  • Experience in a Professional Services GTM or delivery role (E.g. Account Partner, Client Partner, Engagement Manager, pre-sales Architect).
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Data Migration Lifecycle, including data discovery, source-to-target mapping, and the use of Informatica for data quality and cleansing.
  • Background in a consultative role, with a strong understanding of consumption sales, technology and how software services fits into the overall sales process.
  • Experience working with stakeholders to understand and achieve business goals using data.
  • Experience growing accounts with large and complex pursuits or projects ($M+).
  • Demonstrated ability to influence a group audience, facilitate solutioning and lead discussions such as implementation methodology, roadmapping, enterprise transformation strategy, and executive-level requirement gathering sessions.
  • Highly collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a fast paced, unpredictable environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Data Governance and Master Data Management (MDM) principles, particularly in the context of enterprise data strategy, or data migrations.
  • Familiarity with migrating data from legacy systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Siebel) into modern cloud architectures.
  • Exemplary communication skills and ability to work in a team.
  • Ability to problem solve creatively and learn quickly.
  • Strong understanding and command of the English language including written, analytical and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist Data Strategy expertise to help position, scope, schedule, and resource Data Migration, Org Merge, Org Split and Data Management engagements in support of larger CRM transformations and/or Data 360 implementations.
  • Build customer confidence in data readiness for Data 360 engagements with consultative guidance on key data management topics like data governance, data lineage, data quality, and Master Data Management.
  • Partner and build strong relationships with License Sales and Professional Services OU counterparts to educate on the positioning and representation of our Services offerings.
  • Engage customers, including C-Level, using a consultative selling approach that positions Salesforce and yourself as a long-term trusted advisor relationship.
  • Use industry expertise and business insight to understand customer motivation, business drivers, strategic goals and desired business outcomes.
  • Create a compelling vision and clearly communicate our transformative solutions with the goal of generating significant success and business value from a customer's investment.
  • Continuously explore opportunities with existing customers regarding ‘add on’ services.
  • Contribute to the development of internal methodologies and standardized approaches for use across Services OUs and other regional Practices.
  • Meet individual Services KSOs (Key Strategic Objectives), including individual utilization and Services bookings influenced.
  • Flexibility to travel across other North American locations (typically 10%-25% per quarter).
