About The Position

The Practice Manager I oversees the day-to-day operations of medical practices, staff management, financial administration, and strategic planning to support high-quality patient care and a positive patient experience. The role is based in Vernon Hills, Illinois, and includes some travel to Evanston, Skokie, Highland Park, and Glenbrook. Flexible hours may be needed to meet operational needs, including coverage.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Health Administration, required.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Management, required.
At least 2 years of experience in healthcare management, preferably in a medical practice or hospital setting, required.

Nice To Haves

American Heart Association (AHA) CPR certification, preferred.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily medical practice operations to ensure they run smoothly and efficiently.
Recruit, train, and supervise medical assistants, administrative personnel, and support staff.
Manage practice finances, including budgeting, billing, and revenue cycle management.
Coordinate appointment scheduling and optimize patient flow to support timely care.
Respond to patient inquiries and concerns and maintain patient satisfaction.
Implement and monitor quality assurance and compliance measures in accordance with healthcare regulations and best practices.
Develop and implement strategies to improve practice performance, patient access, and growth opportunities.
Support effective use of electronic health record systems and other healthcare technology for patient care and record-keeping.
Manage practice inventory and supplies, ensuring they are adequately stocked and maintained.
Prepare and present reports on financial, operational, and patient care performance metrics.
