About The Position

This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility or complex only. Team members interested in transferring into this position from another Tyson facility should express interest through their local HR Partner. This position is responsible for operating machinery to ensure the continuous flow of products through the production process. Responsible for monitoring and adjusting machine settings as needed and notifying the supervisor if machines should require maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Requirements

Must have successfully completed probationary period.
Must have excellent attendance record (6 points or less) and maintain 9 points or less.
Excellent Safety record, must not have a disciplinary action resulting in Suspension in the last 12 months.
Must be willing to work overtime and weekends/ holidays if required.
Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed.
Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

Operates automated equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
Performs set-up, troubleshoot, and teardown of assigned equipment.
Programs equipment to accommodate various methods.
Responsible for the KPIs (Key Performance Indicator) associated with the equipment: throughput, efficient operation of the equipment while maintaining reduced equipment downtime, yield, quality, etc.
Operates machine, utilizing lock out tag out, reading and understanding the computer screen and selecting the correct options to safety run the machine. This process will be continual throughout the entire work shift at full production rates.
Lifts, pushes, pulls, or carries up to 40 lbs.
Performs all other tasks as deemed necessary to support the production goals.
