About The Position

This position is responsible for operating machinery (Blending, Slicing, Grinding, Pressing, Bagger) includes ongoing production flow while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation. Must be willing and able to follow all necessary procedures to meet and follow USDA and Quality Control Regulations. Must be willing and able to collect and record data manually or in Tyson data collection systems. Must be willing to obtain LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) and PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) certifications.

Requirements

  • Must have 6 months of work history with one employer in the past 24 months
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • Willing and able to follow all necessary procedures to meet and follow USDA and Quality Control Regulations
  • Willing and able to collect and record data manually or in Tyson data collection systems
  • Willing to obtain LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) and PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) certifications
  • Willing and able to thoroughly cleaning off water and debris in all areas of the machine, including small and large belts
  • Willing and able to inspect machines and sensors regularly
  • Willing and able to swiftly identify and address machinery issues to ensure proper performance
  • Willing and able to understand/use the control panel functions
  • Willing and able to assemble and dismantle equipment
  • Willing and able to stand, sit, bend, walk, stretch, climb, push, pull, kneel, squat, reach, and climb stairs frequently
  • Willing and able to lift, carry, push, and pull 20-70 pounds
  • Willing and able to work in extreme temperatures with damp environments and these areas may have slippery walking surfaces
  • Willing and able to work overtime and weekends
  • Willing and able to understand labels, read recipes, follow instructions, and communicate effectively
  • Willing and able to perform any other work as assigned by management
