About The Position

The BTAC PR Assistant will support internal and external communications and handle administrative duties for all BTAC projects and shows throughout the academic year. This role involves working in the Performance Division Office and at BTAC events.

Requirements

  • Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
  • Enrolled at least half-time in a degree, diploma, or certificate-seeking undergraduate or graduate program (exception for summer employment if pre-registered for fall).
  • Valid United States Social Security Number (SSN).
  • Remain in “valid” Visa status as applicable.
  • A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA (first-semester students are exempt until completion of their first semester).
  • Federal Work Study students may apply.
  • In good disciplinary standing.
  • Must be located in the U.S.

  • Ability to work with applications and programs to make flyers and announcements.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the artistic director and program assistant in managing BTAC social media accounts and web content.
  • Generate ongoing newsletters and maintain BTAC’s digital presence.
  • Assist with general PR/marketing activities, including community outreach, generating and building mailing lists, and creating posters and print materials.
  • Assist with video content and graphic design elements.
  • Provide administrative support for meetings, calendar management, compiling/sorting audition materials, and other general program activities.
  • Create advertising and marketing materials, including graphics, social media materials, and mailing lists.
  • Ensure clear and accessible communication of BTAC courses, opportunities, and events to the student population.
  • Create online Google Forms for sign-ups.
  • Organize Google Drive for easy access to audition videos.
  • Assist various show production teams with special tasks and requests.
  • For casting, cross-reference student conflicts between shows and ensure the CONFLICT DOC is filled out by all groups.
  • Organize and maintain dates and deadlines for BTAC productions, classes, rehearsals, and events, publishing them to a centralized document and calendar.
  • Oversee organization and scheduling of various BTAC programs, minimizing conflicts and creating a BTAC annual calendar on Google Calendar.
  • Assist the BTAC artistic director as needed in organizing BTAC programs.
  • Compile audio and video samples for the website.
