About The Position

AtlantiCare Rehabilitation Hospital, in partnership with Select Medical, is opening a new 60-bed medical rehabilitation hospital serving patients in southeastern New Jersey. This hospital will be led by a physiatrist and will feature a multidisciplinary team including rehabilitation nurses, physical, occupational, and speech-language therapists, dietitians, case managers, and other clinical and support staff. The hospital is dedicated to providing exceptional and compassionate care for individuals facing medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges related to brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputations, and multiple traumas.

Requirements

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN), PT, OT or SLP required
• Minimum of two years experience in rehabilitation or a closely related field required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in Utilization Review preferred
• Experience in Management preferred
• Experience in ICD-10 coding preferred
• Experience as a Case Manager in rehabilitation preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist patients and their families in coping with the unpredictability of illness within the context of the hospital environment, using discretion and independent judgment.
• Oversee the coordination of all clinical documentation required for completion of the Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility Patient Assessment Instrument (IRF-PAI).
• Provide oversight regarding the length of stay in collaboration with the clinical team.
• Conduct ongoing review of the CMS data submitted and the patient’s medical record to assure that the documentation is accurate and that the data is congruent.
• Supervise PPS Coordinator(s) in performing PPS related job functions.
