Powersports Service Technician
About The Position
Fox Powersports is looking for a motivated and skilled Powersports Service Technician to join our growing Service Department! We are looking for candidates with prior powersports technician experience or recent graduates of a motorcycle/powersports technician program who are ready to put their skills to work in a professional dealership environment. Whether you have years of experience or are a recent graduate looking to establish your career, we are willing to provide additional manufacturer training, technical training, and certification opportunities to help you continue developing your skills.
Requirements
- Prior experience as a powersports, motorcycle, ATV/UTV, marine, or similar technician OR Recent graduation from an accredited motorcycle/powersports technician training program
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- The ability to diagnose problems and determine appropriate repairs
- Attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work
- A willingness to learn and continue developing your technical skills
- The ability to work independently as well as as part of a team
- A professional attitude and strong work ethic
- Reliable attendance and a commitment to getting the job done right
- A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
Nice To Haves
- Manufacturer-specific experience and certifications are a plus, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, fuel, suspension, brake, and other vehicle systems
- Perform routine maintenance and scheduled services
- Perform inspections, diagnostics, and troubleshooting
- Complete repairs according to manufacturer specifications and dealership standards
- Accurately document work performed on repair orders
- Communicate technical findings and repair needs with the Service Advisor
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Properly use and maintain shop tools and equipment
- Stay current with manufacturer service procedures, technology, and technical updates
- Participate in manufacturer training and certification programs
- Perform warranty and recall repairs as needed
- Work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of quality and attention to detail
