About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining the operational functionality of customer vehicles through diagnosis, repair, and preventative maintenance. The technician will perform a variety of tasks including mechanical and electrical repairs, accessory installations, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. The job also involves safe handling of vehicles and equipment, maintaining a safe work environment, and performing other duties as assigned by a supervisor.

Requirements

  • Proficient use of hand and pneumatic tools.
  • Great manual dexterity.
  • Ability to safely maneuver 900+ pound vehicles, at times using other mechanical equipment (forklift).
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, either assisted or unassisted, sometimes in uncomfortable positions.
  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, crouch, sit, and reach to perform daily tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain customer vehicle operation and functionality by listening to customer concerns, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and performing repairs and preventative maintenance.
  • Perform preventative maintenance including oil changes, inspections, tune-ups, filter replacements, fluid changes, tire rotation and balancing, and replacement of mechanical and electrical components.
  • Repair and/or replace related parts, components, assemblies, and repair body damage.
  • Accurately verify, adjust, remove, disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble vehicle subassemblies such as forks, engines, transmissions, transaxles, brakes, drive chains, gears, or belts.
  • Install OEM and aftermarket accessories on customer vehicles, including windshields, roofs, winches, gun racks, seats, saddlebags, and performance upgrades like exhaust systems, engine management controls, lift kits, and wheel and tire packages.
  • Repair, adjust, and/or replace defective parts, components, and/or assemblies using hand tools, pneumatic tools, arbor presses, and various other power tools.
  • Verify vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives and adjusting controls and systems.
  • Comply with state and federal requirements regarding the proper use, storage, and disposal of fluids, batteries, parts, and related components.
  • Ensure safe handling, moving, operation, maintenance, and positioning of customer and company-owned vehicles and objects using manual, electric, and pneumatic lifting devices, forklifts, trailers, and various other power equipment.
  • Maintain a safe workplace by addressing issues as found and notifying proper personnel or management.
  • Perform other various tasks as directed by supervisor and/or owner.
