This position guides the successful completion of major engineering programs, or conceives research in areas of considerable scope and complexity supporting the development and production of Gulfstream products and services. The role involves selecting appropriate methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to resolve complex engineering issues. The individual will be consulted extensively by associates and others as a recognized authority within the field, and will anticipate and resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways, developing standards and guides for diverse engineering activities. The approach to problem-solving balances technical product, cost, and schedule. The role operates without appreciable direction, with work reviewed from a long-range perspective for desired results, and exercises latitude in determining technical objectives of assignments, making decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritative. Additionally, the role maintains a current knowledge of developments in the field of specialty and/or other related aircraft fields to recommend innovations to improve quality and effectiveness of the company product. The position requires the ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Requirements

A fundamental understanding of aircraft design and construction principles required.
Practical hands-on aircraft repair experience and problem solving.
The ability to effectively work with and support a multi-discipline team of engineers, mechanics, technicians, Quality Control, upper management, etc.
Strong technical skills in Powerplant and/or Environmental Control Systems required.
Experience with Structural Repair Manuals, Illustrated Parts Catalog, Aircraft Maintenance Manuals required.
Bachelor's Degree in engineering or technical related curriculum applicable to the respective job position required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
10 yrs in specific technical discipline or 15 yrs broad eng experience in several technical disciplines with Bachelors.
This job requires one to be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Nice To Haves

Previous Gulfstream G650 & G500/G600/G700/G800 experience is a plus
Working knowledge of 14 CFR Part 25 regulations highly desired.
Experience with Major Repair and Alteration a plus.
Advanced degree in engineering, or related curriculum preferred.
