About The Position

Eaton's Electrical Sector Energy Control Systems (ECS) Center of Excellence (CoE) is currently seeking a motivated Power Systems Specialist to join its global and multidisciplinary team. This role is based at our Eaton Americas Innovation Center in Brossard (Québec) and offers hybrid work opportunities, as well as benefits from day one. The ECS CoE accelerates Eaton’s growth by developing advanced controllers and power systems models across multiple businesses, including UPS, microgrid controls, and energy storage systems. The CoE also enables grid-connected assets with advanced grid support functionalities and leads validation and certification efforts in accordance with applicable grid code standards. This role will serve as the technical specialist for power systems modeling and simulation within the ECS CoE, supporting Eaton’s UPS and Energy Storage product portfolios and datacenters’ initiatives. The individual will act as the subject matter expert on power systems modeling and control for grid-tied assets. In addition, the role will collaborate closely with other ECS CoE team members to drive the adoption of model-based design (MBD) and model-based testing methodologies, including validation and certification activities using Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) platforms and physical product testing. The Power Systems Specialist will be a key member of the ECS CoE and will report directly to the Technology Manager.
