The U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM) sustains the Army’s mission to develop, acquire, field, and sustain ground combat, tactical, and support systems throughout their lifecycle. The program focuses on ensuring operational readiness, reliability, and safety of automotive and ground support equipment critical to Army operations. Under this contract, personnel provide maintenance, repair, overhaul, and sustainment support in accordance with Army technical manuals, safety standards, and performance requirements. The Power System Support Mechanic performs maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, and repair of power generation and support equipment, including generators and associated electrical/mechanical systems. This role ensures equipment operates safely and efficiently to support TACOM maintenance, logistics, and operational missions. Additionally, the support mechanic will conduct inspections and operational checks to ensure equipment reliability and readiness. This position is contingent upon award.
