Power Studies Engineer

CM Mission Critical Engineering, or CM|MC•Atlanta, GA

About The Position

The Power Studies Engineer performs advanced electrical system analysis to evaluate short-circuit capacity, protective device coordination, arc-flash hazards, load-flow performance, power quality, and overall power-system reliability. The role strengthens CM|MC’s electrical engineering capabilities through modeling, research, and cross-disciplinary collaboration. The engineer works independently while coordinating with mechanical, electrical, and project management teams to deliver engineering solutions for mission-critical environments. The position also develops and refines analytical workflows, keeps current with research and applicable industry standards, and presents findings through technical reports, one-line diagrams, study summaries, and client-facing presentations. The engineer communicates with contractors to obtain information needed for power studies and to provide consultation regarding device coordination. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
