ENERCON’s Data Center Mission Critical Division (DCMC) is seeking a Power System Studies Engineer to join its team from one of its U.S. office locations or remotely from within the United States. The division serves small and large-scale data center and mission-critical clients, including national laboratories and technology, communications, enterprise, hyperscale, and colocation companies with high-availability requirements. The engineer will analyze complex power systems and develop studies for major data center clients. The role also involves mentoring less experienced engineers, building client relationships, and helping the team meet short- and long-term business goals. It is a fast-paced, detail-oriented position that calls for leadership to support the group’s growth. The position performs or oversees short-circuit calculations, medium- and low-voltage coordination evaluations, protective relay and breaker setting optimization, and arc-flash studies. It develops or modifies models to represent designed and as-built site conditions, and establishes standards for studies and calculations across groups and offices. The engineer may collect site data, prepare engineering documentation, review others’ deliverables for quality, coordinate with stakeholders, and maintain current knowledge of industry standards, safety practices, and data-center design and analysis techniques.
