About The Position

The Machine Operator performs maintenance, development, and operations tasks that support efficient production at MSI Express Inc. The role involves monitoring and maintaining warehouse equipment and machinery, operating assigned equipment in compliance with quality specifications and production goals, and supporting line setup, cleanup, and troubleshooting. The operator is also responsible for reporting equipment problems and food safety or quality concerns to the appropriate personnel.

Requirements

• Be able to work overtime as needed.
• Apply common-sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions.
• Frequently or throughout the shift, stand, walk, bend, crouch, stoop, reach, stretch, step, climb, and/or sit.
• Have appropriate eye, hand, and foot coordination to perform the position.
• Be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Identify different written forms, box labels, and bottle codes.
• Operate computer equipment for line operations.
• Comply with OSHA regulations or MSDS standards and wear required personal protective equipment in designated areas.

Responsibilities

• Understand the quality specifications associated with assigned machinery and operate equipment in compliance with those standards.
• Operate machinery or equipment at speeds sufficient to meet production efficiency goals set by the supervisor.
• Recognize malfunctioning equipment or substandard operating speeds and promptly inform the supervisor.
• Verify that raw materials have the specified part number before installing them on the equipment.
• Perform basic maintenance on assigned machinery or equipment.
• Assist with line cleanup and setup, including stocking, reworking, and troubleshooting, and perform other tasks needed to keep the line functioning.
• Follow company policies, including general manufacturing and safety practices.
• Report food safety and quality problems in a timely manner to personnel authorized to act on them.
• Perform other duties as instructed by management.
