About The Position

The Machine Operator performs maintenance, development, and operations tasks that support efficient production at MSI Express Inc. The role includes monitoring and maintaining warehouse equipment and machinery, operating assigned equipment in accordance with quality specifications and production-efficiency goals, and helping keep the production line functioning. The operator also has responsibility for food safety and quality within their area of influence and must promptly report related problems to personnel authorized to take action.

Requirements

• Work overtime as needed.
• Apply common-sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions.
• Stand, walk, bend, crouch, stoop, reach, stretch, step, climb, and/or sit frequently or throughout the shift.
• Have appropriate eye, hand, and foot coordination to execute the position.
• Lift up to 50 pounds.
• Identify different written forms, box labels, and bottle codes.
• Operate computer equipment for line operation.
• Comply with applicable OSHA regulations or MSDS standards and wear required personal protective equipment in designated areas.

Responsibilities

• Understand and follow all quality specifications associated with assigned machinery.
• Operate machinery or equipment in compliance with quality standards and at speeds sufficient to meet production-efficiency goals set by the supervisor.
• Recognize malfunctioning equipment or substandard operating speeds and immediately inform the supervisor.
• Verify that raw materials have the specified part number before installing them on equipment.
• Perform basic maintenance on assigned machinery or equipment.
• Assist with production-line cleanup and setup, including stocking, reworking, and troubleshooting.
• Follow company policies, including general manufacturing and safety practices.
• Report food safety and quality problems promptly to personnel with authority to initiate action.
• Perform other duties as instructed by management.
