About The Position

The Machine Operator – Operations I/II/III operates machinery to manufacture products in a timely manner while meeting quality standards. The operator reviews work instructions and builds products according to specifications and tolerances. The role also includes completing cleanup and housekeeping procedures, following quality, safety, and work rules and regulations, and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.

This position is scheduled from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m., Sunday through Thursday. Pay is $19.75 per hour plus an 11% shift premium, for a stated total of $21.92 per hour.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience operating relevant machinery or equivalent.
• Detail-oriented and organized.
• Ability to work professionally in a team environment.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to use applicable hand tools with precision.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).

Responsibilities

• Independently operate basic machinery at a defined rate while maintaining proper quality.
• Develop and maintain an understanding of the products assembled and their impact on the business.
• Continue learning job principles, practices, and processes as changes require, including those related to similar jobs.
• Safely handle materials using proper lifting techniques, including overhead hoists and lift tables.
• Communicate hazards and equipment issues to leadership.
• Occasionally provide basic training to employees as needed.
• Cross-train in different areas within the department and flex to different stations as needed.
• Review work instructions and build products to specifications and within tolerances.
• Complete cleanup and housekeeping procedures; comply with quality, safety, and work rules and regulations, including wearing appropriate PPE.
