About The Position
As a Power HVAC Mechanic (Service Tech I) in United Rentals’ Power/HVAC division, you will perform maintenance tasks and minor equipment repairs safely and professionally. The role includes maintaining and repairing diesel engines, HVAC equipment, and dehumidification and air purification equipment. You will provide customer service, with opportunities to develop toward higher-level technician roles in the Service Department.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of repairing and maintaining diesel engines or HVAC equipment.
- Mechanical aptitude, including knowledge of tools applicable to the position.
- Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
Responsibilities
- Perform minor repairs, maintenance checks, and cleaning of equipment.
- Report equipment condition before and after usage.
- Demonstrate equipment for customers.
- Assist with loading and unloading equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
