About The Position

As a Power HVAC Mechanic (Service Tech III) in United Rentals’ Power/HVAC division, you will perform maintenance and minor repairs on equipment safely and professionally. The role includes maintaining and repairing diesel engines, HVAC equipment, and dehumidification and air-purification equipment. You will provide customer service, document work, report equipment condition to management, and may travel to customer sites. The position offers opportunities to develop toward higher-level technician roles.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
3–5 years of experience repairing and maintaining diesel engines or HVAC equipment.
Intermediate to advanced diagnostic and repair skills for mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, pneumatic, and other systems.
Strong mechanical background, particularly with various engines.
Basic understanding of schematics and diagrams.
Own the tools applicable to the position.
Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal and written communication skills.
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Ability to frequently lift items weighing up to 45 pounds.

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on rental and customer equipment and tools.
Report machine condition to management.
Complete service documentation.
Occasionally travel to customer sites.
Demonstrate equipment for customers.
Train lower-level technicians as needed.
Assist with picking up and delivering equipment and parts.
Perform other duties as assigned.
