About The Position

As a Power HVAC Mechanic (Service Tech II) in United Rentals’ Power/HVAC division, you will perform maintenance and minor repairs on equipment safely and professionally. The role involves maintaining and repairing diesel engines, HVAC equipment, and dehumidification and air purification equipment. You will provide customer service, document service work, demonstrate equipment, occasionally travel to customer sites, and assist with equipment and parts pickup and delivery. The position offers the potential to progress to higher-level technician roles in the Service Department.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of experience repairing and maintaining diesel engines or HVAC equipment.
• Intermediate diagnostic and repair skills for mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, pneumatic, and other systems.
• Basic understanding of schematics and diagrams.
• Own the tools applicable to the position.
• Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, diesel, pneumatic, and other systems on rental and customer equipment and tools.
• Maintain service documentation.
• Travel occasionally to customer sites.
• Demonstrate equipment for customers.
• Assist with pickup and delivery of equipment and parts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Provide exceptional customer service.
