Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED is required.
  • Associate degree in Instrument Technology, Electronic Technology, Computer Technology or related field.
  • Communicates effectively via written and oral methods with co-workers, supervisors, managers, and others when necessary.
  • Ability to enter data.
  • Skills in computers and data input devices, email, application and office software.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair. Remote and local control systems for HVAC, Gas Turbines, Boilers, Air compressors, Generators and Valves.
  • Ability to troubleshoot sensing devices for pressure, temperature, UV, motion and fluid flow.
  • Valid State of Wisconsin Drivers License.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and to wear breathing apparatus for confined entry.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all applicable safety rules, regulations, policies, and procedures in performance of assigned duties.
  • Participate in all required safety training activities.
  • Report any unsafe conditions encountered in performance of duties.
  • Install, maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot, make program changes and corrections, repair and overhaul all power house and supervisory systems, indicating, recording, telemetering, and controlling instruments (electric, electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic) used to measure and control variables, such as pressure, flow, temperature, motion, force, and chemical composition.
  • Implement a preventative maintenance schedule.
  • Maintain inventory of spare parts and inventory records.
  • Assist outside service engineers.
  • Maintain maintenance and repair records.
  • Read process and instrument (electric, electronic, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic) diagrams.
  • Program programmable data loggers and controllers (multi-loop ladder and function).
  • Generate hard copy records of ladder logics and files.
  • Perform other duties of a similar level and nature as assigned.
