About The Position

We are looking for a talented Power Generation Workshop Technician to join our team specializing in Power Generation in Houston, TX. In this role, you will make an impact by completing preventative maintenance and/or basic repair activities on generators or components at the customer site with minimal direction. You will engage with customers in a courteous and professional manner, applying the use of specialized tools and following documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete basic repairs, including preparing required parts and tools. You will also complete required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims via handwritten forms or business system input screens, and complete training in line with skill and business requirements. You will adhere to all our relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and report any issues / incidents to their supervisor. This role requires RV Genset experience, strong diagnostics, and Load Banking.

Responsibilities

  • Completing preventative maintenance and/or basic repair activities on generators or components at the customer site with minimal direction.
  • Engaging with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Applying the use of specialized tools and following documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete basic repairs, including preparing required parts and tools.
  • Completing required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims via handwritten forms or business system input screens.
  • Completing training in line with skill and business requirements.
  • Adhere to all our relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to their supervisor.
  • Applies documented procedures and policies to complete complex repairs, assembles and reassembles power generation units, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools.
  • Performs preventative maintenance based on assessment of power generation units.
  • Assists Level III Technicians with diagnostics and development of repair plans on engines in the workshop.
  • Completes required documentation, such as work completed documents, time sheets, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens.
  • Maintains work area and tools for cleanliness and proper operation.
