About The Position

We are looking for a talented Field Service Power Generation Technician to join our team specializing in Power Generation in Forest Park, GA. In this role, you will make an impact by completing preventative maintenance and/or basic repair activities on generators or components at the customer site with minimal direction. You will engage with customers in a courteous and professional manner, applying the use of specialized tools and following documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete basic repairs, including preparing required parts and tools. You will also complete required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims via handwritten forms or business system input screens, and complete training in line with skill and business requirements. You will adhere to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and report any issues / incidents to your supervisor. This role diagnoses and completes less complex repairs to generators and components at the customer’s site.

Requirements

  • A current valid license is required for this role.
  • Must be 18 years old with 2 years driving experience.
  • This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations.
  • A CDL may be required to obtain upon hire.
  • Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older.

Nice To Haves

  • Apprentice Certified Power Generation/ Electrical Technician (Preferred)
  • Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
  • Current relevant electrical certification
  • Locally valid driving permit
  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Completing preventative maintenance and/or basic repair activities on generators or components at the customer site with minimal direction.
  • Engaging with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Applying the use of specialized tools and following documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete basic repairs, including preparing required parts and tools.
  • Completing required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims via handwritten forms or business system input screens.
  • Completing training in line with skill and business requirements.
  • Adhere to all our relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to their supervisor.
  • Diagnoses and completes less complex repairs to generators and components at the customer’s site.
  • Performs preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on power generation products in the field.
  • Escalates unresolved issues to more experienced Field Service Technicians and/or Supervisor.
  • Maintains service vehicle and tools for cleanliness and proper operation.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to site management and to their supervisor.
