About The Position

Curtis Power Solutions, a subsidiary of Indel Power Group, is seeking a premium level experienced Power Generation Field Service Technician for their Columbus, Ohio location. The ideal candidate should possess years of previous experience as a technician. Indel Power Group serves as a distributor/dealer for major brands including mtu, Daimler/Mercedes, Perkins, PSI Engines, Detroit Diesel, Kohler, Cummins, Caterpillar, and Volvo Penta. Requirements

• Years of previous experience as a technician
• Ability to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present
• Good vision to inspect repair work
• Effective communication
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
• Ability to pass a background check

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled tasks in the diagnosis of malfunctions, repairs, preventative maintenance, adjustments, and overhauls
• Commitment to safety and cleanliness
• Maintain open communication with management team regarding job status, updates, and changes
• Use low and high voltage load banks for testing and repair of generator sets
• Determine corrective action through inspection of failed parts
• Order replacement parts and services in efficient and effective manner
• Perform electrical and mechanical repairs to the engine, generator, or components
• Perform startup and commissioning on large genset units with automatic transfer switches
• This position requires occasional driving
