About The Position

Analog Devices’ Power uModule Team is seeking a motivated Power Electronics Engineer to characterize and qualify DC-DC converters, power modules, and semiconductor devices through hands-on laboratory testing. The position is fully onsite and combines product measurements, test-hardware integration, troubleshooting, data review, and safe laboratory operation. Training and engineering guidance are provided, with opportunities to develop professionally, work on projects tied to business goals, and learn from experienced colleagues. The engineer will perform electrical and thermal testing, assess converter and device performance, create or adapt test setups, and support qualification activities. The successful candidate is curious and dependable, connects measurements to circuit behavior, troubleshoots methodically, communicates clearly, and takes increasing ownership of assigned tests and hardware while collaborating on technical challenges. The role is identified as experienced, requires 10% travel, and is a first-shift/day position. The expected new-hire wage range is $100,266 to $137,892. The role is eligible for a discretionary performance-based bonus. Actual pay may vary based on work location and other bona fide factors.

  • Experience designing test fixtures, wiring harnesses, or custom hardware interfaces.
  • Familiarity with automated test equipment and data acquisition systems.
  • Knowledge of thermal management, environmental testing, or reliability laboratory practices.

Responsibilities

  • Test DC-DC converters, power modules, and semiconductor devices using power supplies, electronic loads, oscilloscopes, current probes, and temperature measurements.
  • Interpret switching waveforms, voltage and current behavior, efficiency, transient response, regulation, and temperature; identify product, measurement, or test-setup issues.
  • Select measurement methods and adapt fixtures, wiring, sensing, and instrumentation for new product requirements.
  • Run electrical and thermal derating and automated power-cycling tests.
  • Verify test conditions, monitor tests, investigate anomalies, troubleshoot hardware, and document results.
  • Analyze results, document findings, and communicate clearly.
  • Operate safely in the laboratory and take increasing ownership of assigned tests and hardware.
