Power Delivery Engineering Intern
About The Position
Leidos is seeking Electrical Engineering students to join their team as a Power Delivery Engineering Intern in their Orlando, FL office. Interns will partner and collaborate with senior engineers and other interns to solve real-world challenges for utility grid customers. This role is designed to expand upon current knowledge and skills, assisting interns in gaining expertise in the power delivery field. Power Delivery Solutions is an established group of electric utility engineering consultants focused on transmission, substation, and distribution engineering problems for utility clients nationwide. Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering program at an accredited university.
- Current GPA of 2.6 or higher.
- Ability to work in both a field and office setting.

- Interest in developing skills in creating work packages for transmission, distribution or substation engineering projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of project deliverables including engineered drawings, technical reports, project-related correspondence, and miscellaneous project documentation.
- Assist the team with the development of processes and procedures to improve project execution efficiency.
- Provide technical and project support for high voltage transmission line projects as well as low voltage distribution projects in a team atmosphere.
- Develop skills in creating work packages for transmission, distribution, or substation engineering projects.
- Gain expertise in the National Electric Safety Code (NESC).
- Interface with local clients.
- Perform Electrical Power Calculations.
- Interact with other disciplines including Substation, Protection & Controls, Transmission, Distribution, and Civil Structural.
- Participate in strategic development.
- Expand a portfolio of business.
- Partner with a variety of utility clients nationwide.
