Power BI Reporting Engineer (Korean Bilingual)
About The Position
The Power BI Reporting Engineer designs, develops, maintains, and optimizes enterprise business intelligence and reporting solutions using Microsoft Power BI. The role transforms business requirements into interactive dashboards, reports, and analytical solutions that support strategic and operational decision-making across MPA and affiliated organizations. The engineer works with business users, data engineers, database administrators, and IT teams to ensure reporting solutions are accurate, scalable, secure, and aligned with business objectives. The position also supports Power BI platform administration, reporting governance, monitoring, and production support. Responsibilities include establishing reporting standards, maintaining report and metadata documentation, monitoring usage and performance, troubleshooting failures and refresh issues, resolving production incidents, and supporting business users and executive stakeholders.
Requirements
- Korean bilingual proficiency is required.
- Knowledge of DAX (Data Analysis Expressions).
- Knowledge of Power Query (M Language).
- Knowledge of data modeling and semantic models.
- Knowledge of star schema and dimensional modeling.
- Knowledge of KPI design and analytics.
- Experience or knowledge with Azure SQL Database, MS Access, SQL Server, AS/400 DB2, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, and Excel and CSV data sources.
- Knowledge of SQL, T-SQL, DAX, and Power Query (M).
- Knowledge of Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), On-Premises Data Gateway, and Azure Active Directory (Entra ID).
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of Business Intelligence or Reporting experience.
- 3+ years of Power BI development experience.
- Strong experience with DAX and data modeling.
- Experience building executive and operational dashboards.
- Experience working with Azure-based data platforms.
- Experience migrating reports from legacy reporting tools to Power BI.
- Experience supporting enterprise data warehouse (EDW) environments.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Create interactive visualizations, scorecards, and executive dashboards.
- Develop reusable report templates and visualization standards.

- Convert business processes and KPIs into reporting solutions.
- Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Provide end-user training and documentation.
- Serve as a liaison between business teams and technical teams.
- Establish reporting standards and dashboard design guidelines.
- Ensure consistency of KPIs and business definitions.
- Maintain metadata and report inventory documentation.
- Support enterprise data governance initiatives.
- Reduce duplication of reports and datasets.
- Monitor report usage, adoption, and performance.
- Troubleshoot report failures and refresh issues.
- Resolve production incidents and root causes.
- Support business users and executive stakeholders.
- Maintain SLA and operational support standards.
- Complete tasks assigned by management.
