About The Position

ABB is hiring a Power BI Intern for Summer 2027. The intern will gain practical experience through projects and support ABB’s operations while developing professional skills. The role is onsite/hybrid in Cary, North Carolina, and reports to the Delivery Manager, Front End Analytics, North America. The intern will build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports using multiple data sources, develop and maintain Power Automate workflows, and write and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from Snowflake and other databases. The role also involves collaborating with teams, applying knowledge of customer needs and ABB’s offerings to identify suitable solutions, participating in team discussions, and seeking feedback to improve performance and skills. The expected pay range is $20–$34 per hour. U.S. internships at ABB are not eligible for company-sponsored medical benefits, 401(k) contributions, or paid time off.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Data & Analytics, Data Science, Business, or a related field in the United States.
Have reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
Be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
Use critical thinking to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions.
Organize and prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
Manage several tasks at once while maintaining high quality standards.
Collaborate with team members to convey ideas, share information, and provide project progress updates.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with teams to support ABB’s operations, coordinate effectively, and complete projects within defined timelines.
Use insights about customer needs and ABB’s offerings to identify suitable client solutions and achieve results that meet customer expectations.
Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and other collaborative efforts.
Seek feedback and guidance from the manager and team members to improve performance and skills.
Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports, connecting to multiple data sources to deliver actionable business insights.
Develop and maintain Power Automate workflows to automate repetitive tasks and improve team efficiency.
Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from Snowflake and other databases.
