About The Position
This position is responsible for packaging powders into jars or bottles of various sizes, labeling filled containers, and packaging them for shipping. The role involves preparing cartons for shipping, completing batch tickets, and maintaining a neat work area. The employee will work in a paint manufacturing facility and will have exposure to extremely hot liquids and equipment, requiring caution.
Requirements
- No experience necessary
- Basic math/measurement skills
- Basic reading and comprehension skills
- Ability to determine correct processes regarding standard Powder Pour off procedures as instructed in initial training
- Ability to work without continuous supervision and complete assigned projects
Responsibilities
- Locate appropriate jars and/or bottles for filling
- Pour powder product into containers per batch ticket instructions
- Apply appropriate labeling to containers
- Pack filled containers into appropriate cartons for shipping
- Apply labeling to cartons
- Prepare cartons for move to shipping/staging area
- Complete batch ticket with proper information
- Maintain neat and orderly work area
