About The Position

Nesco Resource is seeking a Powder Coating Laborer in Mentor, Ohio. The role involves pretreating, preparing, and powder coating a variety of parts while maintaining quality, safety, and production standards. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and the pay is $17–$20 per hour, depending on experience.

The position requires hands-on manufacturing work, including loading and hanging parts, applying powder with an electrostatic paint gun, performing inspections, and maintaining coating equipment and the work area. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of powder coating or related manufacturing experience, or an equivalent combination of training and education.
• Ability to read basic blueprints and specifications.
• Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and ability to multitask.
• Ability to pass pre-employment screenings.
• Ability to lift 35–40 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of powder coating processes and paint line functionality.
• Experience managing or tracking inventory.

Responsibilities

• Pretreat, clean, mask, prime, and powder coat a variety of parts.
• Load and hang parts correctly to maximize line capacity.
• Apply powder using an electrostatic paint gun.
• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final quality inspections.
• Change hanging patterns and manage color changeovers.
• Plug, tape, sand, and correct parts as needed.
• Use measuring tools to ensure precision and consistency.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Clean, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment.
• Follow safety policies and OSHA standards.
