About The Position

Powder Coating Systems is seeking an experienced Powder Coater for their day shift. This full-time position involves spraying parts with the required color to a standard thickness, wearing necessary PPE, setting oven timers and temperatures for proper curing, and communicating with the floor team regarding part preparation. The role also requires assisting with setup between racks and potentially operating a forklift. The ideal candidate is punctual, productive, communicative, and a team player.

Requirements

At least six months of actual powder coating experience in a powder coating shop.
Possession of the necessary Immigration documentation to prove identity and the right to work in the United States.
The ability to lift fifty (50) pounds.
Reliable transportation to commute to Tacoma on a daily basis.
Current Driver's License.
The ability to read and communicate in English.

Nice To Haves

Mechanical aptitude.
Basic knowledge of hand tools, air tools and other shop skills.
Knowledge of operating a sit-down forklift.
Experience using a tablet to record information.
Other languages are a bonus.

Responsibilities

Processing parts by spraying them in the required color to a standard thickness.
Wearing needed PPE while performing the task.
Setting oven timers and temperatures for each rack to ensure parts get cured when the powder melts properly.
Communicating to the floor their needs to ensure parts are hung a certain way and that masking and cleaning are done properly.
Helping out on the floor between racks to assist in setting up when necessary.
