About The Position

Monroe Truck Equipment is hiring a full-time Powder Coat Painter in Monroe, Wisconsin, for its second shift, Monday through Thursday, from 3:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. The position involves preparing parts and applying powder coating. Work includes handling 55-pound powder boxes, setting up and adjusting spray nozzles, regulating coating-solution temperature, and moving coated articles from a conveyor belt to drying racks or containers. Parts preparation uses chemicals and hand tools.

Requirements

• Ability to lift 55 pounds without assistance.
• Ability to use a crane, tugger, hoists, and forklifts.
• Ability to read, write, and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to read and follow instructions in blueprints and job instructions.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to use common-sense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions.

Responsibilities

• Pour 55-pound powder boxes into the machine reservoir.
• Connect hoses to spray nozzles.
• Adjust nozzle sleeves to achieve the specified spraying pressure and use thumbscrews to direct nozzles toward items being coated.
• Regulate the temperature of the coating solution.
• Remove articles or materials from the conveyor belt and place them in drying racks or containers.
• Paint parts.
• Prepare parts using chemicals and hand tools.
