About The Position

Aviagen is seeking a Vaccination Crew Manager to oversee all operations within the vaccination department, including personnel management, scheduling, and ensuring adherence to the ISO quality management system. This role requires flexibility, on-call availability, and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment. The manager will be responsible for training, scheduling, performance appraisals, crew building, vehicle maintenance, and ensuring the proper functioning of the Vaccination Department.

Requirements

• High School diploma required
• 5 years of vaccination crew experience required
• Basic computer skills in Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Outlook
• Must have a valid driver's license and able to obtain a health card
• Must be organized with the ability to work and communicate well with others
• Must be able to prepare work schedules and able to adjust to sudden changes in organizing workloads
• Trustworthy and dependable
• Able to manage a crew with high efficiency and high quality standards

Nice To Haves

• College degree preferred
• Experience in vaccinations and pullet moves would be a plus

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the vaccination department, including personnel and scheduling of all crew activities.
• Maintain the ISO quality management system within the vaccination department.
• Enforce ISO, bio-security, and safety standards.
• Oversee all aspects of vaccinations, moves, spikes, switch mates, etc.
• Conduct employee training, crew scheduling, and employee performance appraisals.
• Address other personnel issues.
• Manage crew building and vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Perform other duties and special projects as necessary, such as hauling shavings, culls, and partitions.
• Ensure proper functioning of the Vaccination Department.
