About The Position

Seneca Foods in Janesville Wisconsin is currently seeking a Pouch Supervisor to join our team! Seneca Foods is one of North America's leading providers of packaged fruits and vegetables with facilities located throughout the United States. Our high quality products are primarily sourced from over 1,400 American farms. Seneca holds the largest share of the retail private label, food service, and export canned vegetable markets, distributing to over 90 countries. Products are also sold under the brands of Libby’s®, Aunt Nellie’s®, READ®, Seneca Farms®, Green Valley®, Green Giant (Shelf-Stable)®, CherryMan®, Paradise®, Pennant®, and Seneca labels, including Seneca snack chips. Seneca also provides vegetable products to other companies under various co-pack arrangements.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a related field or 2 to 5 years related experience and /or training.
Certified or able to become certified in Better Process Control School, Thermal Processing and Container Closure.
Ability to work with all levels of the organization.
Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally.
Willingness and ability to work and frunction in a team environment.

Responsibilities

Direct and supervise all production processes to ensure products meet specifications.
Ensure the safety of all employees.
Meet production costs that are equal to or less than standard.
Encourage and promote team work and continuous improvement.
Train all employees to complete their job in a safe and efficient manner.
Oversee sanitation.
Supervise, lead and coordinate the activities of a production department to achieve complany goals.
Make decisions regarding product quality, employee relations and equipment breakdowns.
Assist in developing plant budgets and daily production plans.
Complete daily production requirements in a cost effective manner which meet or exceed all food safety, good manufacturing practice and employee safety expectations.
