The Varshney Lab is seeking a talented and motivated Postdoctoral Scientist to engage in transformative projects aimed at advancing the understanding of neurodevelopmental and auditory disorders. The Varshney Lab is at the forefront of zebrafish genetics and disease modeling, pioneering genetic discovery while systematically validating candidate disease genes identified through human studies. By developing and characterizing zebrafish models, the Varshney Lab is closing the gap between genetic insights and therapeutic breakthroughs. As a vital member of the team, the Postdoctoral Scientist will utilize state-of-the-art genomic technologies, including CRISPR base and prime editing, single-cell RNA sequencing, and high-throughput imaging, to functionally characterize candidate human disease genes. Their research will encompass a broad spectrum of disciplines, from genetics and genomics to molecular and developmental biology. The lab provides a stimulating and supportive research environment, where you will collaborate with a diverse group of dedicated scientists. Additionally, the lab prioritizes collaboration, innovation, and a steadfast commitment to scientific excellence. We encourage applications from individuals of all backgrounds.
