A temporary Postdoctoral Scientist position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Kenneth Humphries within the Aging & Metabolism Research Program at OMRF to study the intersection of glycolytic regulation and electrophysiology. Studies will focus on the PFKFB2-regulated fructose-2,6-bisphosphate axis and its downstream effects on mitochondrial biology, redox signaling, and Ca handling in the heart, with particular emphasis on how disruption of this pathway contributes to arrhythmogenic phenotypes and cardiac dysfunction. This is a mentored position for postdoctoral training.
