About The Position

Principal Investigator, Dr. Longfei Gao, PhD, is looking for a Postdoctoral Scientist to join the team! The Gao Laboratory studies hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) and their niches in development, homeostasis, and disease, with a focus on how the microenvironment regulates HSC function. They use mouse genetics, lineage tracing, flow cytometry, single-cell genomics, and bioinformatics to uncover mechanisms that can improve HSC-based therapies. The Postdoctoral Scientist will work independently but in close cooperation and in consultation with the Principal Investigator and other Research Scientists, performing routine and complex laboratory procedures throughout their training period. They may develop, adapt, and implement new research techniques and protocols, analyze and interpret data, and assist in the preparation of grant proposals. The role also involves participation in publications and presentations as an author or co-author. The position is not responsible for generating grant funds.
