The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Scholar to join the Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology. The successful candidate will join the laboratory of Dr. Rintaro Hashizume, where they will contribute to innovative research focused on pediatric brain tumors. Dr. Hashizume’s laboratory is dedicated to advancing the understanding of the genetic and epigenetic mechanisms that drive brain tumor development and progression while identifying novel therapeutic targets for children with central nervous system cancers. The laboratory provides a collaborative, multidisciplinary research environment with opportunities for scientific discovery, publication, and professional development. This is a full-time postdoctoral research position designed to provide advanced research and scholarly training for individuals pursuing careers in academic medicine or biomedical research. The successful candidate will work closely with Dr. Hashizume and other investigators to conduct cutting-edge translational research aimed at improving outcomes for pediatric patients with brain tumors.
