The Department of Food Science and Technology in the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences has multiple open positions for postdoc research associates for a USDA-funded “When Blue is Green” project. The hires will join an interdisciplinary team aiming to develop integrated zero-waste seafood production systems. Successful candidates will conduct research on one or more of the following topics: Cultivation of microalgae for wastewater treatment, Processing of microalgal biomass into high-value bioproducts, Modeling of nutrient and energy flows in controlled environment agriculture, Biorefinery process design, simulation and optimization, Life cycle assessment on food, agricultural, and/or biological systems.
