This position requires the development of artificial intelligence (AI) and mechanistic models of type 1 and type 2 diabetes. The position also requires the integration of these AI and mechanistic models into decision support systems. The successful candidate will have experience developing AI and mechanistic models of type 1 and type 2 diabetes and integrating these models into decision support systems. The successful candidate will have a PhD in biomedical engineering or related fields with expertise in AI, machine learning, physiologic modeling, and recommender systems. The candidate will have expertise in the python programming language as well as AI/ML tools including TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, and other programming tools. The candidate will have experience writing and publishing first-author publications in peer reviewed journals. The candidate will have experience mentoring junior lab members in an academic environment.
