The Bharti lab at The Pennsylvania State University, in the Department of Biology and the Center for Infectious Disease Dynamics, is recruiting multiple highly motivated Postdoctoral Scholars to conduct research for an NIH-NSF funded project on human health, movement, and infectious diseases. The project focuses on the transmission dynamics and spatial trajectory of measles and Ebola outbreaks in the Democratic Republic of the Congo as well as the environmental factors that contribute to spillover of Ebola. Creative, interdisciplinary thinkers interested in human health and infectious diseases research are encouraged to apply. Applicants with combined backgrounds of natural science and social science or quantitative training will be considered favorably. These positions are 100% research, no teaching with potential for growth into postdoctoral leadership positions within Penn State’s CIDD. We are a small, productive, fun lab with a history of placing postdocs into successful careers in academia, government, industry, and humanitarian organizations.
