About The Position

The University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) is seeking a motivated and innovative Postdoctoral Scholar to join its College of Engineering. This position is available immediately and offers an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of electrochemistry/electrochemical engineering. The successful candidate will contribute to cutting-edge research in areas such as electrochemical systems, electrocatalysis, electrolysis, and energy storage and conversion. In this role, you will conduct high-impact research, publish in leading journals, present findings at conferences, and collaborate with a dynamic team of faculty and students. You will also have opportunities to mentor students and contribute to proposal development, supporting the growth of a strong and externally funded research program.

Requirements

PhD in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Electrochemical Engineering, or a closely related field.
Completion of a doctoral degree in the appropriate discipline is required.
The doctoral degree must have been completed within the five years immediately preceding the first date of appointment as a postdoctoral fellow at the University.
The individual cannot have held previous positions in the professional ranks.
Demonstrated experience in electrochemical techniques
Strong background in electrochemistry or electrochemical engineering
