Postdoctoral Research Fellow
About The Position
The Electrochemical Dynamics Lab (Principal Investigator: Dr. Wesley Chang) is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Fellow. This role involves designing and implementing an independent research project while also collaborating with and mentoring graduate students. The ideal candidate will have an interest in electrochemical technologies and experience with optics table setup and lasers. The core of the project is to design and build a unique characterization platform for electrolyzers. This position is grant-funded, and employment is contingent upon the continued availability of these funds.
Requirements
- Minimum of a PhD or Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering or related field or the equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience.
Nice To Haves
- Experience setting up an optics table.
- Experience working with lasers.
- Previous experience with electrolyzers.
- Previous experience with gas diffusion electrodes.
- Previous experience with infrared lasers.
Responsibilities
- Design and build unique characterization platform to track gas bubbles in electrolyzers.
- Mentor graduate students.
- Write technical papers.
- Actively participate in weekly meetings.
- Help write proposals.
- Other duties as assigned.
Benefits
- Compensation for this grade ranges from $60,240.00 - $90,350.00 per year.
