The University of Arizona’s Department of Psychology is hiring a Postdoctoral Research Associate to collaborate on a project focused on aging, Alzheimer’s disease risk, well-being, autobiographical thoughts, and the brain’s default network. The project includes blood draws for genetic and biomarker testing, in-lab experimental behavioral testing, naturalistic cognitive assessment using smartphone app technology, and functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI). The postdoctoral fellow will be closely involved in neuroimaging data collection, preprocessing, and analysis, including resting-state functional connectivity and multidimensional brain-behavior analyses. Existing data is available for immediate analysis in addition to new data collection. The fellow will lead presentations and publications arising from the project. The role also involves collaborating with graduate students and undergraduate research assistants on data collection and the overall data analytic plan. The Department of Psychology is part of the School of Mind, Brain, and Behavior within the College of Science and participates in interdisciplinary research and training across the university.
