Postdoctoral Research Associate

Texas A&M University System•College Station, TX

About The Position

The Postdoctoral Research Associate will investigate the genetic basis of phenotypic variation using Drosophila as a model system. The laboratory studies how structural variants, repetitive DNA, and other forms of genetic variation contribute to phenotypic variation through effects on gene regulation, genome function, and organismal traits. The selected candidate will lead independent research projects that may integrate molecular biology, genetics, functional genomics, population genomics, pangenomics, genome engineering, computational biology, and bioinformatics. The balance of experimental and computational research will be tailored to the candidate’s expertise, interests, and career goals. Candidates with backgrounds in either experimental or computational biology are encouraged to apply.
