About The Position

Carnegie Mellon University's Department of Mechanical Engineering is searching for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in an interesting and challenging work environment. You will contribute to the department by assisting with the analysis and reporting of research data associated with a stentrode BCI project and other tasks that are assigned to you.

Requirements

  • Doctorate degree
  • 5 years of experience
  • Advanced level research experience, including basic understanding of instrumentation and software.
  • Experience with signal processing, Matlab or Python programming, spreadsheets and statistics
  • Experience with writing technical reports
  • Experience with neural data analysis
  • A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Perform neural data analysis, including signal processing
  • Draft and revise journal papers
  • Design new experiments and assist with grant applications
