Carnegie Mellon University's Department of Chemical Engineering is seeking Postdoctoral Fellows for a translational biomedical research project. This project involves developing a microfluidic technology for loading molecules and nanoparticles into red blood cells ex vivo, with the aim of using red blood cells as a biocompatible drug depot for extended release. The role will be part of a highly interdisciplinary team of engineers and scientists across Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Pittsburgh Trauma & Transfusion Medicine Research Center. The initial contract is for one year and is renewable for up to five additional years, based on performance and funding availability.
