Required Qualifications PhD in ecology, environmental science, hydrology, biology, or a closely related field (completed by start date). Experience with freshwater field research and environmental sampling. Familiarity with eDNA workflows , including water sampling and filtration (wet-lab processing experience is welcome but not required). Working knowledge of R/Python for ecological data analysis (data handling, visualization, multivariate analyses). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within an interdisciplinary team. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in stream or river systems , particularly intermittent or disturbed systems. Exposure to eDNA data interpretation (metabarcoding and/or qPCR). Experience integrating ecological data with hydrologic or spatial datasets. Interest in expanding quantitative or computational skills (e.g., advanced modeling, machine learning).
