The Caglayan laboratory at the Eppley Institute for Research in Cancer and Allied Diseases, University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) is actively seeking highly motivated and talented Postdoctoral Research Associates to join their research team. The research program is supported by funding from the National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS) and start-up funding for the Eppley Institute. The focus is on unraveling the molecular mechanisms that govern DNA repair and genome maintenance, integrating biochemistry, structural biology (X-ray crystallography and cryo-EM), and biophysics. The successful candidate will contribute to cutting-edge research focused on the single-molecule characterization of DNA repair proteins using Total Internal Reflection Fluorescence (TIRF) microscopy and C-Trap optical tweezers.
