About The Position

The Nano-Optics and Advanced Health-Sensing (NOAHS) Lab at Baylor University is seeking a Postdoc Research Associate to conduct research on silicon photonic integrated circuits for optical communication and computing. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with academic and industry partners on the development of ultra-low voltage, high bandwidth silicon microring modulators driven by transparent conductive oxides. The candidate will also assist the Principal Investigator (PI) in exploring new research avenues in optical sensing utilizing nanophotonic materials and devices. This position is initially for one year, with a potential for extension based on performance and funding availability. The NOAHS Lab is led by Prof. Alan Wang, who has a distinguished research career with significant external funding and numerous publications, presentations, and patents. He is a fellow member of SPIE and Optica, and a senior member of IEEE.
