About The Position

The Nano-Optics and Advanced Health-Sensing (NOAHS) Lab at Baylor University is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate. This role will focus on the research of silicon photonic integrated circuits for optical communication and computing. The postdoctoral researcher will have the opportunity to collaborate with academia and industry on the development of ultra-low voltage, high bandwidth silicon microring modulators driven by transparent conductive oxides. Additionally, the candidate will assist the Principal Investigator (PI) in exploring new research areas in optical sensing using nanophotonic materials and devices. This position is initially for one year with the possibility of extension based on performance and funding availability. The NOAHS Lab is led by Prof. Alan Wang, who is the Mearse Endowed Chair Professor at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Prof. Wang has a strong research funding history and extensive publication record, and is a fellow member of SPIE and Optica, and a senior member of IEEE.
